Shiro Yagami draws on an unknown form of energy that gives him great strength and the ability to form energy weapons that include shurikens, scythes, swords, staffs, triple iron, spears, and a bow and arrows.
Shiro Yagami possesses access to the Nerveweb, the pathway network that gives Grandmother control of the city, which allows him to move anywhere instantaneously.
In 3216, Grandmother, the freewill caretaker of Japan, transforms Shiro Yagami into a spirit guardian forged in the image of Bloodshot to invoke the spirit of his exploits and ensure her safety against the Anti-Grannies, an organization who feels oppressed by their lack of control over their lives and believe that Japan's fate belongs to its people.
As Rai, Shiro draws upon an unknown form of energy that gives him great strength, the ability to form energy weapons, and access to the Nerveweb, the network that gives Grandmother control of the host body and allows him to move anywhere at the speed of thought.
The Progenitor Rai
Despite his upbringing, Shiro was a poor warrior, and on August 16th 3216, the Anti-Grannies killed him. Afterwards, they contacted Grandmother via the Mars colony and warned her not to create another champion unless she wished him to suffer the same fate. The message ended with an offer to end the bloodshed once Grandmother surrendered control of Japan and a proclamation that its fate belonged to its people.
